Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Brakes Performance Engineer to support our rapid growth and contribute to the development of our revolutionary e-Mobility solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the performance of our braking system meets program-specific attribute targets and timing
  • Developing and writing test procedures for development and performance sign-off criteria
  • Performing vehicle testing activities and reporting
  • Instrumenting vehicles for braking system testing
  • Providing input into braking system DFMEA and DVP requirements
  • Leading benchmarking activities and technical interface with other business units

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, or related discipline
  • Experience in complex engineering environments
  • Proven experience in developing and testing braking systems, including performance tests, ABS tests, and NVH
  • Proficiency in Vector software and vehicle test instrumentation and logging
  • Experience with brake by wire systems and actuation an advantage
  • Good understanding of braking system attributes, foundation brakes, controls/SW, and homologation requirements
  • Proven test planning and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Working experience of Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Excel, and Word
  • Team player with ability to work alongside talented colleagues
  • Role based at UK test facility with potential for overseas travel
