Culinary Care Specialist

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a skilled Culinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in the preparation of meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and handling equipment with proper hygiene and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing balanced, appetising meals for our residents
• Perform cooking tasks and other kitchen duties, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room, adhering to strict hygiene regulations
• Wash utensils, dishes, and store them appropriately, promoting efficient workflow
• Rotate stock and put away all deliveries, ensuring optimal inventory management
• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
• Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment according to Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations, prioritising staff and resident safety

Requirements
• Hold a food hygiene certificate and demonstrate good personal hygiene standards
• Possess relevant experience in catering, preferably within a care setting
• Be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, committed to delivering exceptional care and service
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with colleagues and residents
• Show diligence and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Be able to work independently, as part of a team, and under supervision, adapting to changing circumstances as needed
