Job Summary

Bristol Ambulance EMS is currently seeking experienced professionals to fill vacancies for Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs). We are looking for candidates who are committed to delivering exceptional pre-hospital care.

Main Duties of the Job

ECAs will carry out allocated operational duties in line with the role and responsibilities, supporting the provision of clinical, social, and holistic care to patients in a pre-hospital environment. This will include responding to emergency calls, delivering high-quality pre-hospital care, and transporting patients safely.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out allocated operational duties, supporting the provision of clinical, social, and holistic care to patients in a pre-hospital environment, safely and within appropriate level of training and competency.
  • Respond to emergency and urgent calls, delivering high-quality and effective pre-hospital care, including 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transfers, and other allocated responses commensurate with the role.
  • Carry out assessment, care, treatment, and transportation of patients as an operational practitioner, working in a variety of locations.
