We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team at Blackheath in South East London. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of staff payroll, in collaboration with our central payroll team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance role, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and finance duties. AAT qualification is preferred but not essential, as long as you have relevant experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting all employee payroll data and records, and maintaining those records.
  • Liaising with HR to resolve all payroll issues, including leavers.
  • Responding to payroll-related questions or concerns from employees, and liaising with departmental managers as necessary.
  • Submitting invoice batches to Accounts Payable Head Office.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing of the staff payroll, ready for submission to the payroll bureau for batch processing and submission of all returns by due date to HMRC.
  • Contributing to the efficient and effective work of the finance department.
  • Patient Allowance & Social Funds total reconciliation (incl bank).
  • Petty Cash total reconciliation (incl bank).
