Reed is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to support the financial administration of an educational institution. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting systems, adhering to statutory and regulatory frameworks, and upholding trust policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate processing of transactions from initial order to payment, ensuring adherence to financial procedures.
  • Maintenance of financial records using Access Education, Excel, and other databases.
  • Management of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, including credit control.
  • Receipting and banking cheques and cash, processing online payments, and managing petty cash.
  • Regular reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger records.
  • Providing financial information to staff, governors, and auditors as required.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties as needed.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in financial administration, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in using financial databases, Access Education, and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support the Finance Manager effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding the Trust's financial regulations and school policies.
