We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Step Teachers. As an Academic Support Professional, you will work closely with students with complex needs in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual support to students with SEN, promoting their educational and personal development.
- Collaborate with class teachers to deliver tailored lessons, catering to individual needs.
- Create a supportive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence.
- Work with colleagues and external professionals to implement personalized support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Flexibility and adaptability in different educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Compensation: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
