About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering marine biodiversity projects, applying innovative thinking to problem-solving, and working collaboratively with colleagues in various environmental disciplines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and undertaking marine biology assessments and producing high-quality reports
  • Devising mitigation designs
  • Liaising with regulators
  • Managing small to medium-scale projects with input on large-scale projects
  • Main point of contact with project managers, clients, partner organizations, and sub-consultants

You will be part of a specialist team including ecologists, nature-based solutions specialists, and ecotoxicologists delivering work in support of sustainable development, including biodiversity net gain, natural capital accounting, and ecosystem services.

About You

We are looking for an individual with significant consulting experience on marine biology projects, holding an appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate qualification in Marine Biology or a comparable subject. Desired skills and experience include coastal and offshore bird ecology and assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard, highly organized, and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines.
