Academic Quality Director

We are seeking an experienced quality expert to oversee site quality arrangements across all aspects of site activities in support of the overall project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated industry.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage site quality arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Proactively support and advise on all aspects of quality management on site, including risks and issues.
  • Effective management and utilisation of assigned quality personnel.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external Customers.
  • Ensure quality requirements are defined and implemented as part of the site induction and training process.
  • Establish effective communication channels with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Develop and implement auditing arrangements associated with site activities, both internally and externally.
  • Manage site quality non-conformances/issues and close them out.
  • Review and approve/accept Supplier quality arrangements in accordance with site/project requirements, including Customer approvals.
  • Monitor progress against site quality arrangements and escalate areas of concern to Line Management.
Key Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry and relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Knowledge of Customer quality requirements and application of ISO 9001.
