**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team at Edwards & Pearce. As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the risk of Legionella contamination in water systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess various types of water systems, including cooling towers, hot and cold-water systems, and other water-based equipment, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Evaluate the risk of Legionella growth and transmission by considering factors such as water temperature, system design, water quality, and maintenance practices.
  • Conduct inspections of water systems at client sites to identify potential sources of Legionella contamination.
  • Collect water samples from different points within the water systems and send them to laboratories for Legionella analysis.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in Legionella risk assessment and management, attending relevant training and conferences.
  • Ensure that water systems comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of assessments, including risk levels, compliance status, and recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Advise clients on implementing control measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of Legionella contamination.

Requirements:

  • Over 1 year of experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor, with 2-3 years in the water industry.
  • City & Guilds LRA courses (domestic and cooling water) preferable.
  • HTM04 (healthcare premises) training preferable.
  • Safety passport/ IOSHH etc preferable.
