Job Description:
The Outpatient Coding Professional will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding and billing for outpatient services. This includes examining and interpreting documentation from medical records, reviewing diagnostic and procedure codes, and communicating with providers for missing documentation elements. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to reconcile billing issues and work with revenue cycle departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of coding and edits.

Responsibilities:
* Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS, and CPT
* Interpret medical records to identify procedures and services for accurate code assignment
* Review and reconcile billing issues to ensure accurate reimbursement
* Collaborate with revenue cycle departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of coding and edits
* Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of experience in medical coding
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
* Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, group software, and Correct Coding Initiatives (CCI) edits
* Certification in medical coding (CCS, CCS-P, CIC, etc.)

Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year.
