Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Podiatrist to lead our team in providing exceptional care to patients with complex cases. As a Senior Podiatry Service Lead, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients requiring advanced podiatry services.

About the Role

This is a senior role that offers scope for developing your skills and expertise in leading a team and contributing to service improvement and transformation projects. You will work closely with the Podiatry Clinical and Service Lead to drive service development and lead on clinical specialist projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • To deputise for the Podiatry Service and Clinical Lead during times of leave and absence and support the team with clinical and management leadership.
  • To manage the day-to-day clinical provision of Foot Health Services for outpatient clinics and patient home visits.
  • To assist the Clinical Lead Podiatrist in delivering equitable and effective Foot Health Services.
  • To have a leadership role in developing the Foot Health Service for patients and team members.
  • To undertake clinical supervision with staff members designated to you.
Requirements
  • BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior to 1991).
  • Evidence of continual professional and personal development.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Certificate in local anaesthesia.
  • Significant postgraduate clinical experience.
  • Experience of clinical supervision/mentoring.
  • Ability to cope with patients' anxieties and employ tactical techniques in order to help support patients and allay anxieties.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of patients and diseases/pathologies. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the team and patients.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a car lease scheme and annual travel card loan. We offer flexible working options and opportunities for training and development in your career.
