About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Advisory Specialist to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Quantitative Risk and Valuations Advisory team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated portfolio of clients and providing expert advice on retail and corporate credit risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and optimize returns.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of credit risk models and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior managers, directors, and partners to deliver high-quality advice to clients.
  • Contribute to the growth of our advisory services through marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory standards and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Strong professional interest in credit risk, scorecard methods, internal ratings-based models, and model validation.
  • Significant credit risk experience gained from a major financial institution, professional services firm, or credit ratings agency.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science from a reputable university.
  • Desirable previous credit risk modelling experience or experience with econometric software packages.
