**Job Description:**

We are looking for a highly skilled Contract Benefits Officer to join our Housing Benefit team at Derby City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records and databases.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and reports. You will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role, offering a competitive salary of £24,790 - £25,183 per annum. You will work 37 hours per week, with a permanent contract and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Update and maintain computer-based software applications/databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Analyze data and create detailed reports, utilizing your knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  3. Deal with customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team objectives and improve processes.
  5. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and expertise.
