Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior M&A Advisory Consultant to join our Investment Banking team in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and financial modelling.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in M&A advisory within an investment bank or boutique firm, with a strong focus on the Technology sector. A degree-level qualification with a minimum 2:1 grade is essential, and completion of CISI Level 3 Certification in Corporate Finance or a Chartered Accountant qualification would be advantageous.

You will work closely with senior management to identify potential acquisition targets, conduct market research, and develop comprehensive business cases to support client pitches. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders, while your attention to detail will ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake valuations of businesses using various methodologies, including relative valuation techniques, leverage buyout models, and discounted cash flow analyses.
  • Develop detailed financial models to assess the financial impact of transactions.
  • Analyse industry and sector trends, commercial analysis of individual businesses, and case studies of transactions.
  • Draft and review marketing materials, including pitches, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, strategic review papers, valuation papers, and admission/prospectus documents.
  • Collate comments from the project team, clients, and other advisers on materials produced and work with the team to produce revised materials.
Requirements
  • At least three years of M&A experience in an investment bank or boutique firm, ideally in the Technology sector.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with a minimum 2:1 grade.
  • Completion of CISI Level 3 Certification in Corporate Finance or a qualification as a Chartered Accountant would be advantageous.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and reliable, self-starter, motivated, and ambitious.
  • Team player capable of fitting in with the culture.
  • Strong valuation and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
