Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Join Promethean Particles Ltd as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative decarbonisation solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the optimisation of our pilot plant and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing engineer to lead the safe design, installation, and operation of new equipment. You will work closely with our R&D and Operations teams to achieve full-scale production and ensure the safe operation of company-wide facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the safe design, installation, and operation of new equipment, including the identification and implementation of required ancillary services.
  • Assess new and existing manufacturing processes and workflows, including participation in HAZOPs, hazardous area assessments, and the production and updating of P&IDs.
  • Use continuous improvement methodologies to optimise productivity and quality.
  • Assist in the implementation of a robust, fit-for-purpose quality management system that will satisfy the increasing complexity of our customer base.
  • Co-ordinate the maintenance and inspections of various manufacturing equipment.
  • 'Hands-on' mechanical work, including work with high-pressure and/or temperature tubing and fittings (training to be provided).
  • Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies.
  • Assist in documenting root causes of asset utilisation losses in the facility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering from a good UK university.
  • Several years of industrial experience in a production plant in areas such as chemicals, plastics, food, water (pumps and pipework).
  • Knowledge and/or experience of standard chemical manufacturing tools, techniques, and systems.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with a professional manner in a commercial setting (both internally and externally).
