Workshop Manager Opportunity

Our client, a prestigious organization in the motor industry, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the productivity and efficiency of their busy workshop in Devon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance and management, with a focus on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), road tankers, gritters, RCVs, refuse vehicles, and road sweepers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring routine and preventative maintenance is carried out to the highest standards
  2. Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
  3. Performing scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  4. Conducting 6 (or 8) weekly inspections to identify and address any issues
  5. Correcting running defects and improving vehicle standards
  6. Overseeing chassis and fabrication work, hydraulics and pneumatics, and electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of modern vehicle technologies, including diesel, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles. If you are a motivated and experienced Workshop Manager looking for a new challenge, please apply.
