About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Origination Services Associate Closer to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Traditional Credit Products Middle Office team, you will play a critical role in supporting the origination and transaction process for syndicated deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Administration: You will be responsible for understanding all aspects of deal/loan administration functions and tasks, including operational terms within Loan Documentation and experience with interpreting Loan Agreements and related documentation.
  • Deal Structure Construction: You will construct bilateral and syndicated deal structures in loan platform (LIQ) including amending existing deal structures.
  • Operations Systems Enrichment: You will ensure that Operations systems are enriched with deal details, to a high degree of accuracy at all times.
  • Deal Monitoring: You will monitor recently signed deals for early-stage lifecycle events and take action accordingly.
  • Control Focus: You will remain control focused, working accurately and in a timely manner to avoid control risk as well as up to date with Accounting and Risk policies.

  • Initiative and Interpersonal Skills: You will exhibit the initiative to raise issues to business partners and management when needed, and interact professionally and confidently with senior deal team members within the Front Office.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: You will be able to work in a team environment, remaining flexible and willing to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: You will think strategically and tactically to design process improvement ideas with the flexibility to adjust to new innovations, regulations, and priorities.
  • Task Prioritization: You will be able to prioritize tasks appropriately, whilst operating within a fast-changing and high-pressured environment.
  • Communication Skills: You will be able to communicate professionally and accurately in written and oral form, and summarize issues succinctly and set out well thought-out solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Loan Documentation Experience: You will have experience reading and interpreting loan documentation or related experience dealing with legal documentation, with knowledge of LMA and LSTA standards.
  • LIQ Experience: You will have direct working knowledge of LIQ (specifically in the area of loan administration and deal building).
  • General Ledger Knowledge: You will have basic knowledge of general ledger account structures.
