About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dermatologist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality dermatology services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients, contributing to multi-disciplinary teams, and participating in the coordination of care for patients within the trust. You will also be expected to take an active role in the planning, development, and delivery of the dermatology service for the directorate.

Requirements

For this role, we are looking for an individual with a wide experience in dermatology, a commitment to attending Clinical Supervisor Training Course within the first 6 months of starting the post, and evidence of clinical leadership, commitment to audit and improving clinical practice/service development. You should also have a strong interest in personal development through research and/or publications, with a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.

Working Environment

The post is based in the purpose-built Dermatology Outpatient and Treatment Centre at Chorley District Hospital, where all dermatology clinics are held. The service is centralised at Chorley Hospital with ward referrals across both sites. The weekly Regional Specialist Skin MDT is conducted on Teams.
