About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data and Insights team at AJ Bell. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Business Intelligence solutions to drive business decisions and growth.

Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing data models, data pipelines, and data visualizations to support our business stakeholders. You will work closely with our engineering and streaming teams to ensure reliable and accurate data is available for our data and insights team to develop solutions from.

You will be responsible for owning and continuously improving our data model, identifying and refining data and reporting requirements from key stakeholders, and visualizing and reporting data findings creatively in a variety of formats.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about data and business intelligence. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data models, data pipelines, and data visualizations to support business stakeholders
  • Work closely with engineering and streaming teams to ensure reliable and accurate data is available for data and insights team
  • Owning and continuously improving data model
  • Identifying and refining data and reporting requirements from key stakeholders
  • Visualizing and reporting data findings creatively in a variety of formats
Requirements
  • Proven mid to senior level experience in analysis and development within a BI environment
  • Good levels of data and market awareness
  • Database architecture (largely Cloud but some on-prem legacy)
  • Business Intelligence Reporting
  • Broad experience including data mapping, extraction and manipulation, cleansing, modelling, mining
  • Highly effective communication skills and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prioritise work effectively
  • Flexible approach to work and adaptable to changing environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Embraces continuous learning
