Electrical Installations Supervisor

Rees Technical is seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will require travel to client sites across the UK and frequent overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Site Manager to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce Electrical Installation Specifications.
  • Manage site subcontract labour, reviewing RAMS and coordinating site work permits, including LOTO.
  • Review technical drawings and distribute information to electrical installation supervisors.
  • Manage the storage and safe distribution of installation materials and instrumentation.
  • Liaise with the CAD engineer to document proposed routing of cable containment for client approval.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce installation planning documents and monitor installation progress.
  • Identify and correctly install instrumentation from the design package, advising the mechanical installation team on best installation practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all electrical requirements of the design package are met.
  • Prepare site commissioning files, complete with construction status electrical drawings.
  • Assist with power-up procedures once installation is complete.
  • Lead setup and I/O testing of devices (valves, VSDs, instruments) in liaison with software engineers and provide process commissioning support.
  • Liaise with the Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical solutions to any issues raised onsite with the installation.
  • Support sales by surveying sites in conjunction with electrical contractors to carry out concept design and obtain quotes.
  • Troubleshoot existing systems as required by customers and provide solutions.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of UK legislation, including BS7671.
  • Experience with instrumentation applications, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight, and analytical systems.
  • Experience managing subcontract labour for large projects.
  • Good understanding of electrical and P&I drawings.
  • Good understanding of the beverage industries, including relevant regulations and certifications.
  • Experience with hazardous area applications, zoning, calculations, and installation of wiring systems.
  • Good understanding of control bus systems, ASI, Profibus, and industrial Ethernet networks.
Qualifications:

HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
