Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse with critical care/acute experience to join our Critical Care Outreach team (CCOT) as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 6. The successful applicant will join a supportive and dynamic team, leading on delivering high standards of care to acutely unwell patients across our site.
Main Duties of the Job- Deliver autonomous advanced clinical practice
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support
- Offer structured teaching and mentorship
- Facilitate ongoing education, training, and development
- To deliver a critical care outreach service to adult inpatient areas at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals
- To ensure appropriate escalation and timely management of critically ill patients
- To provide a service that improves recognition and response to deteriorating patients on the wards based on NICE CG50
- To support the rehabilitation strategy for critically ill patients based on CG83 and the process of step-down to ward care of patients with complex care needs
- To be a role model and a specialist information resource for nursing and medical staff regarding the care and treatment of critically ill patients
- To collect audit data associated with the key responsibilities of the post to develop and improve practice
