Markets Operations Belfast Overview

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview

The Operations Intermediate Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activities using basic industry and business knowledge
  • Process and reconcile brokerage fees for transactions
  • Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management
  • Support the implementation of processing improvements
  • Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes
  • Review and analyze hedge fund activities, procedures to reconcile cash/holdings and securities pricing
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to lower-level team members when required
