Senior Financial Planner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planner to join our Wealth department in Nottingham, UK.

As a Senior Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing leadership and guidance to the Technical and Administration teams.

You will work closely with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality financial planning advice to a portfolio of clients, including investment planning, pre/at retirement planning, personal and business protection, and estate planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent client service and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and development to the Technical and Administration teams.
  • Complying with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA's Conduct rules, and relevant Financial Conduct Authority rules.
  • Staying up-to-date with legislative and technical changes affecting financial planning.
  • Maintaining relevant CPD and recording it accurately.
  • Providing ongoing technical and financial planning advice to clients.
  • Ensuring all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional, prompt, accurate, and courteous manner.
  • Assisting with new client acquisition as required.
  • Acting as a member of the Investment & Risk Committee, if required.

Requirements include:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
  • Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial planning or working towards it.
  • Experience in a paraplanning or technical role gained within a financial planning firm.
  • Experience working in a client-facing advisory role in a financial planning firm.
  • Experience using a full range of provider products, services, and capabilities.
  • Experience building and maintaining excellent relationships internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of key areas of financial planning and advice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FCA suitability requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, ensuring accuracy and high levels of attention to detail.
  • Willingness to enhance own expertise and knowledge.
