Job Description:This role will involve working in a clean-room environment to process bone marrow, stem cells, and cord blood for patient transplant. The successful candidate will provide training, direction, and leadership to junior team members, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining emergency back-up systems for ultra-low temperature storage facilities containing cells for transplantation. They will also participate in research and development activities, ensuring that all work is conducted within the trust's policy guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert scientific and technical guidance to junior team members
- Develop and implement Quality Control and Assurance management strategies
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with HR legislation and policies
- Teach and train staff on new procedures and technologies
- Liaise with medical staff to discuss clinically significant results and initiate follow-up actions
**Salary:** £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
**Location:** King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London.
