Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Lawyer to join our client's legal team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor with 4+ years of PQE to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth of the business.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating global project appointments, working with stakeholders across the business, and supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in professional appointments, construction contracts, and construction law, preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and negotiating global project appointments
  • Working with stakeholders across the business on construction projects
  • Supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies
  • Management of the legal team (where relevant)
  • Providing assistance to other areas, data protection, IPR, property, debt
  • Assisting the other members of the legal team on wider strategic projects

Salary: We offer a competitive salary in the range of £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitors with 4+ years' PQE
  • Experience of professional appointments
  • Experience of construction contracts
  • Legal experience of construction law preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor
  • Great analytical skills and excellent legal knowledge
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
