We are seeking a skilled Construction Lawyer to join our legal team in Newcastle. As an integral part of the business, you will advise on legal issues and reduce risk. The role involves reviewing and negotiating global project appointments, working with stakeholders, and implementing legal risk management policies.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to take on a challenging role in construction law. You will have experience of professional appointments, construction contracts, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are also essential.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing and negotiating global project appointments
- Working with a range of stakeholders across the business on construction projects
- Supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies
- Management of the legal team (where relevant)
- Providing assistance to other areas, data protection, IPR, property, debt
- Assisting the other members of the legal team on wider strategic projects
- Qualified Solicitors with 4+ years' PQE
- Experience of professional appointments
- Experience of construction contracts
- Legal experience of construction law preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor
- Great analytical skills and excellent legal knowledge
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
The estimated salary for this role is £80,000-£100,000 per annum, depending on experience. We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
