We are seeking a qualified Academic Mentor to provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance in traditional school settings. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome challenges and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized learning plans tailored to each student's needs and abilities.
  • Implement a therapeutic approach to re-engage students with their learning, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress.

Working Requirements:

  • This part-time role involves working within the community or pupils' home, with flexible hours adjusted according to family schedules.
  • Regular weekly reports will be submitted to track pupil progression.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A valid QTS or equivalent tutoring experience is required.
  • While UK classroom teaching experience is preferred, it is not compulsory.
  • Candidates should possess creativity, patience, and the ability to think creatively.
  • Prior experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils is essential.

Contract Terms:

  • Location: The community or pupils' home.
  • Position: SEN Tutor.
  • Type of work: Contract.
  • Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour.
  • Hours: Flexible, dependent on family timings.

The estimated annual salary for this role is between £50,000 and £60,000, contingent upon experience and location.
