The Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a skilled professional to fill a part-time (0.6 WTE) Band 6 Surgical Dietitian position, fixed term for 12 months.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality nutrition and dietetic services to patients, carers, and staff at Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals as part of the Ashford and St Peters Dietetic Department.
  • To manage an inpatient caseload on the Surgical wards and conduct monthly specialist outpatient clinics.
  • To work closely with MDT colleagues including consultants, surgeons, and specialist nurses, covering clinical areas such as upper GI, lower GI, gynaecology, orthopaedics, general surgery, pancreatic disease, complex oral and enteral nutrition support.

The postholder will be responsible for developing supervision skills by supporting junior staff and students, actively participating in service improvement and audit, and contributing to new ways of working.

Strong IT user skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams applications, are essential.
