Community Vaccinator

About the Role
Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Community Vaccinator to join our expanding immunisation team. As a Community Vaccinator, you will play a vital role in delivering the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary, and Independent Schools, as well as other community venues.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver immunisation sessions to school-aged children in a variety of settings, including schools and community venues.
- Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders to promote immunisation uptake and reduce health inequalities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of immunisation policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Registered Clinician with a valid driving license and access to a car for work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and adults.
- Ability to travel between sites and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge and experience of immunisation policies and procedures, particularly those relating to school health nursing and immunisations for school-aged children.
