Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nicholas Associates Construction. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing a large residential groundworks project, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly applications for payment, monitoring project costs, and preparing cost reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete monthly applications for payment accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.
  • Compile monthly forecasts with the production team to ensure successful commercial performance.
  • Control costs in accordance with budget.
  • Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the client.
Requirements:
  • Experience in residential or groundworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proficiency in construction software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a large project, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
