An exciting new role has arisen in our Private Client Department, based in Nuneaton. As a Wills and Probate Paralegal/Executive, you will support a fee earner in a busy Private Client team.

This position would suit someone with at least one year's experience working as a Paralegal/Wills and Probate Executive. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Outlook, and good keyboard skills.

  • Attend to clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Produce accurate, detailed work to maintain excellence in legal services, adhering to quality and case management systems.
  • Maintain files efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective case management of Private Client matters.
  • Draft documentation, including correspondence, briefs, court documents, attendance notes, and statements of evidence, in accordance with efficient file management.
  • Time record accurately, prepare bills as necessary, and adhere to the Firm's policy.
  • Attend to clients in the office or at their homes, providing flexible support when needed.
  • Undertake work necessary to build up, maintain, and manage a caseload, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Respond to reasonable instructions from Directors, Department Heads, or Fee Earners within the limits of this job description.
  • Attend department meetings as required, contributing to the success of the team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year's experience working in a Private Client Department as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, supporting a Fee Earner.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Outlook, and good keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work within quality and case management systems, such as Lexcel and Tikit.
  • Dynamic approach, using initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients.
  • Positive approach to customer service, ensuring high-quality interactions with clients.
  • Team player with a flexible approach, able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional, confidential manner.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the legal process to understand the work being undertaken.
  • Knowledge of the work of a Private Client Department and relevant law is an advantage.
  • Experience of legal procedures preferred.
  • Driving license and use of own vehicle preferable but ability to travel between offices, courts, and stakeholder office essential.
