Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Fqps in Nuneaton. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Private Client Department in various tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience working as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in a Private Client Department, supporting a Fee Earner. You should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Outlook, as well as good keyboard skills.

A key aspect of this role is your ability to work within quality and case management systems, such as Lexcel and Tikit. You should be dynamic in your approach and use initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients. A positive approach to customer service is essential, as is being a team player and flexible in your approach.

You will need to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional and confidential manner. Sufficient knowledge of the legal process is required to understand the work being undertaken, and knowledge of the relevant law is an advantage. Experience of legal procedures is preferred, and a driving licence and use of your own vehicle are desirable but not essential.

Salary: £22,500 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to clients in the office or in their homes
  • Produce accurate detailed work to ensure excellence in legal services
  • Maintain files and ensure efficient case management of Private Client matters
  • Draft any documentation in accordance with efficient file management
  • Time record in accordance with the Firm's policy and prepare bills as necessary
  • Undertake any reasonable instructions made by Directors, Department Heads, or Fee Earners
  • Attend department meetings as required
