About Us: Carrington West is a growing planning consultancy in Exeter seeking an experienced town planning associate director or director to lead and manage town planning projects, provide strategic guidance to clients, and contribute to the growth and success of the consultancy.

Role Overview:

As the Associate Director of Town Planning, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing town planning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, while staying abreast of legislative changes, industry trends, and best practices in town planning.

  1. Lead and oversee town planning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

  3. Stay abreast of legislative changes, industry trends, and best practices in town planning.
  4. Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  5. Contribute to business development efforts, including client engagement, proposal development, and networking activities.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 15 years experience in town planning, with a proven track record in a consultancy environment.
  2. In-depth knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  3. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
