SEND Specialist Tutor Job - 1:1, Cullompton

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking inspirational tutors to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Cullompton. Many children with SEND have been disengaged with their learning, and we aim to provide a supportive environment to help them re-engage and thrive.

As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience working with children in a therapeutic way. Your goal will be to support and re-engage a pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development, and help them return to school.

The tuition is replacing school for these young people and is normally part-time, taking place during school hours, five days a week. Prospero Teaching Careers will work closely with you to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Create and deliver bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to young people with SEND
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels
* Support and re-engage pupils in their learning, offering structure back into their daily routine
* Continue pupils' educational development and help them return to school
* Submit weekly reports to monitor pupil progression
