Production Operative Job Description

In the UK, Müller develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of branded and private label dairy products made with milk from over 1,700 British farmers.

The Müller brand is ranked at No.7 in The Grocer's Top 100 list of Britain's Biggest Brands, and is also the 7th most chosen brand in the UK.


We are currently seeking a Production Operative to join our Chill Department at Bridgwater Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business.


The successful candidate will strive to process the most effective and safe way to produce the best quality finished product while working to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and complete asset care/deep cleaning on equipment
  • Ensure good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout their shift
  • Part of an effective hand over between shifts, remaining within the chill until a relief takes over
  • Lead by example encouraging appropriate behavioural safety and technical standards in support of company values and culture
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Comply with food safety requirements and adhere to site quality procedures
  • Actively promote and comply with all company policies, procedures and values

Requirements:
  • Previous manual packing work desirable, though not necessary
  • Experience using a voice picking system such as Zetes & as400
  • A flexible approach
  • Enhanced overtime rates such as double pay for bank holidays and 1.5 x basic salary for overtime
