Safeguarding and Child Protection Officer

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding and Child Protection Officer to join our team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in education and work with a school that is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for its pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns to ensure the well-being and safety of pupils.
  2. Collaborate with parents, carers, and other agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies.
  3. Work closely with class teachers, the Local Authority, and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable pupils, including those with formal plans.
  4. Provide administrative support, including word processing, mail sorting, and filing.
  5. Report safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead to ensure oversight and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Experience in school safeguarding with a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
