Construction Skills Trainer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Skills Trainer to join our team at Chesterfield College. As a Construction Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and assessing Bricklayer and Groundwork Apprenticeships and NVQs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of learners through all elements of their Apprenticeship Standard or NVQ.
- Teach both practical and theoretical skills within the Construction School and support learners onsite to successfully achieve outcomes.
- Liaise with internal colleagues for completion of other aspects such as Functional Skills.
- Provide advice and guidance to learners and employers.
Requirements:
- Current and relevant occupational competence in Brick and/or Groundwork occupations.
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1 Award, IQAM).
- Teacher qualification and internal verifier award (V1 Award or TAQA 401).
- Excellent communication skills and a professional outlook.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required and undertake substantial travel.
- Driving license and own vehicle.
