PhD Studentship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD student to join our research team at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project investigating the low-to-high grade glioma transition using spatial multi-omics.

Project Overview

The project aims to understand the molecular determinants of the low-to-high grade transition in glioma using advanced spatial multi-omics technologies. The student will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced researchers and clinicians to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments using spatial multi-omics technologies
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify molecular determinants of the low-to-high grade transition
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments and analyze data
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops
Requirements

We are looking for a student with a strong background in cancer biology, biochemistry, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a keen interest in cancer research.

Funding

This four-year studentship is funded by Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and includes full funding for University fees and a stipend of £21,000 per annum.

Eligibility

We welcome applications from both UK and overseas students. Applicants must hold or expect to gain a First/Upper Second Class degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject from any recognised university worldwide.
