About the Job

This exciting opportunity involves obtaining blood samples from patients by venepuncture within NHS Ayrshire & Arran's wards and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail.

What You'll Do
  • Obtain blood samples from patients while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective patient care

NHS Ayrshire and Arran requires flexibility regarding work periods, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. You may be required to work across other sites within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Suitable candidates will hold an SVQ/NVQ level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject
  • Prior experience in Phlebotomy within a hospital setting is preferred but not essential

NHS Ayrshire and Arran offers a competitive salary: £25,655 per annum, plus opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
