Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate practitioner with experience of managing forensic risk and a strong track record of working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, and neurodiversity. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will provide high-standard clinical services within the Community Forensic Team, ensuring effective leadership, engagement with service users, carers, and partners, and a trauma-informed approach to specialist forensic consultation, assessment, and intervention.

Main Duties
  • High-Quality Psychology Service: Provide expert psychological services to Community Forensic Services, including leadership, supervision, and consultation.
  • Coordination and Direction: Coordinate planning and organisation of specialist psychological services within the locality area, working closely with the Clinical Lead/Operational Manager.
  • Research and Development: Utilise research skills to inform audit, policy, and service development within the relative service area.
Person Specification

We are looking for a professional with:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its equivalent accredited by the BPS
  • Current HCPC Registration

Desirable qualifications include post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.

Essential experience includes demonstrable experience of working as a practitioner psychologist, to include a significant period of working at a senior level in the specific specialist field where the post is held. Experience of teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision is also essential.

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing expert psychological services, leading a team, and contributing to research and development. The estimated salary for this role is £62,000 - £82,708 per annum, depending on experience.
