About the Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in French to join our team. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking assignments in the UK and overseas, supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake geotechnical consultancy work on large, complex projects, including deep and shallow foundations, deep excavations, and retaining structures.
  2. Assist in the implementation of best practice and procedures, upholding the Company Health and Safety Policy across all activities.
  3. Undertake ground investigation experience, including design, preparation of tender documents, supervision, and interpretation.

Requirements

  1. Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnically related subject from an accredited college or university.
  2. Working knowledge of geotechnical and engineering geological processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction, and advanced numerical modelling.
  3. Proficient in 2D finite element analysis software and geotechnical software, with excellent Microsoft Office abilities.

Language Skills

Proficient in French and Spanish is an asset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
