Angove Partners is seeking a skilled Cargo Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and underwriting risks for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and underwrite cargo-related risks, including marine, inland, and other specialized coverages, in accordance with underwriting guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and assess risk profiles in the cargo and logistics sector.
- Analyse market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to stay informed and adapt underwriting strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing expert guidance on cargo risk mitigation and insurance solutions.
- Participate in the development of new cargo insurance products or enhancements to existing products, staying informed about industry advancements.
- Contribute to the effective management of the cargo underwriting portfolio, including monitoring and analysing performance metrics.
- Proven experience as an underwriter, specifically with a focus on cargo insurance.
- In-depth knowledge of cargo-related risks, insurance products, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and determine appropriate coverage.
