We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our commercial team as a Trainee Estimator. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of construction materials and a passion for working in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize specialized software to conduct drawing measures and create quotes and pricing exercises.
- Collaborate with internal contract management, construction, and head office teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Forecast costs associated with projects using detailed software and company knowledge.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Liaise with clients and construction professionals to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Assist in selecting and sourcing construction materials and create reports as requested.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Experience with MS Excel and Word is essential.
- Building industry experience would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as part of a team.
- A clean UK driving licence and ability to commute to head office location.
