Therapeutic Family Time and Intervention Officer

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Family Time and Intervention Officer to join our team at Walsall Council. As a key member of our Family Time & Intervention Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality contact for children who are looked after by the Local Authority and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake direct work with children and families in a variety of settings, including the family home and community venues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure effective support and intervention.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of children and families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans and interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children and families in a therapeutic or support role.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
- Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and therapeutic interventions.
