Mechanical Works Supervisor Job Description

Streamline Search is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Works Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical plants for the Water industry across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor your team and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of mechanical construction activities in accordance with Company HSEQ and Technical requirements.
  • Deliver toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and quality among your team and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the Project Engineer on H&S, Technical issues, Specification, and progress updates.
  • Implement Company Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and main contractors as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the Water Industry and Construction Site Environments.
  • Recognized practical qualifications (HND/Degree/Apprenticeship) and certificates (IOSH, CSCS Card, DOMS/National Water Hygiene etc).
  • A thorough understanding of all relevant H&S regulations and risk assessments.
  • Availability for travel throughout Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK.
  • Experience in mechanical plant repair, maintenance & refurbishment, site surveys, problem solving & troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with pumps and drive motor removal & installations.
