About the Role

We are recruiting for a Matron to lead our Haematology team as part of the Cancer Centre of Excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for prioritising people, preserving safety and promoting professionalism and trust in effectively managing a number of wards, departments and teams.

You will work within your scope of professional practice to provide excellent, safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the 24-hour period. This will involve providing strategic nursing leadership and direction for all nursing staff across the services managed.

The ideal candidate will have consolidated experience in a clinical leadership role at or equivalent to Ward Manager or Matron. They will also have experience of managing resources within budget and capturing patient revenues/meeting revenue targets.

The estimated salary for this position is £85,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience.
