Job Summary

Saab AB is seeking a skilled Aerospace Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Training and Product Information Team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining top-tier system technical manuals using Single Source Authoring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Manual Development: Produce and maintain customer technical manuals across the range of Saab Seaeye ROVs as well as third-party accessories.
  2. Product Data Sheets: Produce and maintain Product Data Sheets.
  3. Document Control: Control of documents and drawings used in technical manuals.
  4. Engineering Advice Notes: Produce and distribute Engineering Advice Notes in accordance with Saab Seaeye quality standards.
  5. Training and Development: Assist with training sessions at Saab Seaeye's facilities, customer sites, and remotely via digital platforms, with occasional national and international travel required.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Technical Training and Product Information Team to develop training programs for both Saab Seaeye products and third-party accessories.
  7. Staff Training: Assist with the training of new staff on Saab Seaeye products.
  8. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using single-source authoring software such as Madcap Flare, familiarity with graphic design and 3D rendering software, competency in Microsoft applications, understanding of software and networking, experience with ROV systems or similar marine equipment, and a recognised Training qualification.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in producing digital media for training purposes and familiarity with online learning authoring tools.
  2. Health and Safety: Ensure that the working area is a clean and safe environment in compliance with the 6S best practice and health and safety policies.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure any equipment used is safe, within electrical test date and all guards and interlocks are working and in place.
