Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining top-tier system technical manuals using Single Source Authoring tools. This role is crucial for ensuring that all technical documentation remains accurate, detailed, and up-to-date, thereby aiding customers in fully comprehending and maintaining their (Underwater) Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV). Additionally, this role involves assisting in the development of technical training materials, thus playing a key part in the effective training and upskilling of both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Produce and maintain customer technical manuals across the range of Saab Seaeye ROVs as well as third-party accessories.
  2. Produce and maintain Product Data Sheets.
  3. Control of documents and drawings used in technical manuals.
  4. Produce and distribute Engineering Advice Notes in accordance with Saab Seaeye quality standards.
  5. Assist with training sessions at Saab Seaeye's facilities, customer sites, and remotely via digital platforms, with occasional national and international travel required.
  6. Collaborate with the Technical Training and Product Information Team to develop training programs for both Saab Seaeye products and third-party accessories.
  7. Assist with the training of new staff on Saab Seaeye products.
  8. Proficiency in using single-source authoring software such as Madcap Flare.
  9. Familiarity with graphic design and 3D rendering software.
  10. Competency in Microsoft applications.
  11. Understanding of software and networking.
  12. Experience with ROV systems or similar marine equipment.
  13. Hold a recognised Training qualification.
  14. Proficiency in producing digital media for training purposes.
  15. Familiarity with online learning authoring tools.
Requirements:
  1. To ensure that the working area is a clean and safe environment in compliance with the 6S best practice and health and safety policies.
  2. To ensure any equipment used is safe, within electrical test date and all guards and interlocks are working and in place.
