Maritime Transport is seeking a skilled Transport Operator to join our team at our Felixstowe depot. As a Transport Operator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our container transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple drivers and ensure timely delivery of containers
  • Communicate effectively with ports and customers to resolve any issues
  • Book delivery slots and monitor the progress of containers
  • Use the TOPS system to track driver start and finish times, and chase drivers for ETAs
  • Reroute jobs as needed to ensure efficient container movement
  • Verify that all PODs are matched correctly with the system
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate any delays or issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Operator is essential
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
