Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organized individual to join the Urology Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a Pathway Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing diagnostic appointments and providing administrative support to the team, ensuring a smooth patient pathway and a high-quality patient experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Urology Team, ensuring efficient management of patient journeys in accordance with referral to treatment targets and agreed timescales.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries from patients, carers, and external parties in a polite and professional manner, maintaining accurate records and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that letters and other relevant documentation reach the appropriate people, including patients and healthcare professionals, within agreed timeframes, and record all correspondence on the Trust's patient administration system.
  • Book and reschedule appointments as required, and receive and deal with routine correspondence and undertake follow-up action as directed by the administration manager.
  • Utilize computerized tracking systems to locate case notes and investigation results, and maintain patient information on the appropriate patient information system.
  • Create and maintain local filing systems, keeping accurate records of work completed within the team.
